Located on the majestic San Francisco Peaks, the Arizona Snowbowl is just 7 miles outside of Flagstaff, Arizona, 2 hours from Phoenix, and 70 miles from the Grand Canyon. The resort opened in 1938 and is one of the oldest continually operated ski area in the country.
The slopes at Arizona Snowbowl have undergone some impressive transformations in recent years! As part of the $20M multi-mountain capital improvements campaign, Arizona Snowbowl welcomed the expanded snowmaking infrastructure, first new chairlift in 30 years - Humphreys Peak Quad - in 2015-16, Arizona's first high-speed six-person lift - Grand Canyon Express - in 2016-18, redesigned rental shop and more!
The aggressive multi-mountain improvement campaign continued with additional $15 million invested for the 2017-18 winter season!
Arizona Snowbowl features 40+ trails, eight lifts, terrain parks, state-of-the-art snowmaking, on-mountain dining options and Ski Lift Lodge and Cabins. With a peak elevation of 11,500 feet and average 260 inches of snowfall, Arizona Snowbowl is a true gem of the Southwest ski scene.
